Verdict

When it comes to wireless doorbells, one of the important factors to look for is a wide coverage range. The Magicfly Doorbell is one of the better options for operating range and why it is preferred and trusted by many homeowners as well as small business owners.

It is highly recommended for those who live in a multiple story home or in a place with a large space because of its 1,000 feet coverage. Since it comes with two transmitters and two receivers, you can install them in different parts of your house, which is great if you have two doors on your property. You will no longer miss someone calling at your door, because you will be able to hear the alert anywhere you are in the house.

The only drawback to this unit is the feedback from some users that the sound coming from the chime is not very good in terms of the quality. Some even say that it seems like you are listening from a tune made in the 80’s with its low, midi file quality. If you are very particular about the sound quality, then you might want to consider other options.

The add says that the magicfly system is expandable. We purchased a third one to add a receiver in my husband’s office. We can not make it ring when we press the button outside. It is only about 40 feet from the button. How do we integrate it into the whole system?

Good question Susan and thanks for reaching out

We’ve done some research for you and although all the available info on the Magicfly Doorbell system indicates it is expandable, we can’t find any specific literature on adding a third receiver to an existing setup.

It’s worth considering although the distance is only 40ft, if you have several walls and other obstructions that could be blocking/reducing the signal range, it could be preventing the signal from reaching the receiver in your husbands office.

Our best suggestion (if you haven’t already tried this) is to bring all the transmitters and receivers into one room so they are all in close proximity to each other, then try sync’ing them again making sure the transmission frequency is set to the same frequency band (if this is an option on the model you have).

As it would be super helpful for Magicfly themselves to chime in *couldn’t resist it!* we’ve emailed their customer support team to see if they can answer your question. Hopefully they’ll respond on your comment here, but if it comes via email instead, we’ll make sure to update it here for anyone else in future looking for the answer to this question.

And if you manage to find out the answer meantime, would be great if you could post it here too.

Best of luck Susan and hopefully we’ll get to the answer between us!
